Wakasugi’s delicate works adding a touch of coolness, seems showing the innate resilience of plants. Her ceramics most frequently take inspiration from fruits and flowers around us, she says, ‘I try to capture every touching moment by the act of creation.’ 

She fired unglazed porcelain formed by grouting molding method. Although these tend to be inorganic during the process, Wakasugi’s meticulous scraping artworks evoke a sense of calmness and harmony, coolness and elegance, attracting people with different languages and cultural backgrounds.
